Product Overview: The Rochelle Model 3500 Caller ID/Telephone Production Tester is a stand-alone instrument for full Central Office simulation of telephony and type 1 & 2 caller ID signals. The Model 3500 has specific application for automated production testing of telephony devices with Caller ID, Call Waiting, and ADSI (Types 1, 2 and 3). The Rochelle 3500 ships with user-friendly software that allows the user to set signal parameters such as level, frequency and duration for CAS, DTMF, and single-frequency tones. The product includes a built-in loop simulator, adjustable line current, and slow-speed modems for advanced telephony testing. The Model 3500 has an RS-232 serial port for control from automated test programs written in languages such as C/C++, Visual Basic or LabVIEW. The Rochelle 3500 is compatible with all major US and international Caller ID standards. Model 3500 Options: DOS Menu software with 8 Mbyte DiskOnChip memory upgrade: This option provides user-friendly Caller ID menu software with choices for 12 different countries and seven different test options for each country selection. An additional 8 Mbyte plug-in memory chip is provided for the menu software. DOS Menu software with 24 Mbyte DiskOnChip memory upgrade: This option provides user-friendly Caller ID menu software with choices for 12 different countries and seven different test options for each country selection. An additional 24 Mbyte plug-in memory chip is provided for the menu software and for storage of additional scripts. DSP/104 Module: This option is a full-function DSP card that plugs into the 3500 PC/104 expansion bus with software that gives the 3500 advanced measurement capability, including full DTMF digit analysis of signals from a device under test. Remote Control Software (Serial): This option allows the 3500 to be controlled remotely from a host computer over the serial port. Serial cable included. GPIB/104 Module: This option is a full-function GBIP card that plugs into the 3500 PC/104 expansion bus with software that allows the 3500 to communicate over a GPIB connector with a host computer.
