VG-852 is a top-of-the-line digital output signal generator, added with new features while maintaining upward compatibility with conventional models including VG-825 and VG-826A. The RGB parallel outputs (TTL/LVTTL) up to 8 bits and low-voltage serial (panel link of LVDS) outputs are provided. By using the standard program management software supporting Windows 95/98, timings and patters can be easily set and registered. Also features to allow users to create patterns freely, and to register natural pictures (bitmap, JPEG) as a pattern are provided. Furthermore, the unit contains more than 100 types of preset timing/pattern data, and main signals can be created by using these preset timings and/or patterns. With these efficient features, the unit proves to be an exceptionally useful tool in development, production, inspection of display units with digital interface, including LCD, PDP, LED and EL.

･ The dot clock is 100 MHz in the parallel output 1/1 clock mode, 200 MHz broad band in the 1/2 clock mode.
･ Parallel RGB and low-voltage serial (either of panel link or LVDS) digital signals are outputted.
･ Memory card is employed for registration of program data. The number of programs is dramatically increased.
･ User patterns using program languages can be created.
･ Conventional panel ROM can also be used as an upper compatible capability.
*Extensive features are available only when the memory card is installed.
･ A wide range of sample program data are contained.
･ Output video level can be manually set in real time.
･ USB/RS-232C is employed for the PC interface.
