3. Type 1840T can be used to measure various general purpose microphones. Please note that the measured results (including sensitivity and frequency response) are refer to the condition of “Near Field” (35 mm from the artificial mouth). These results may differ slightly from those measured under far field condition. The later condition is often used to specify the characteristics of general purpose microphones. It is proposed to use 1600M for the measurement of general purpose microphones. The measured results are refer to far field condition.

1840T can test speedy the frequency response, 1kHz sensitivity characteristics of the aforementioned transmitter.

1. Model-186 Sorting Driver when combined for use with Model – 160A ( or Model – 184 ) mainframe and user’s automatic sorting machine, can perform the automatic sorting which totally can be divided into 14 ranks. The sensitivity sorting is divided into 12 ranks (which are the same as the number of rank for the sensitivity sorting on the testing screen); Frequency response ranked at 13^th , while the other testing items, like : The impedance, distortion, ECM current etc. of the unqualified items ranked at 14^th (When the indicators of the 1st~13^th rank did not light up, it belongs to 14^th rank). Model-186 is very suitable for use in the automation for the receiver, transmitter and microphone factories.

2. The items that can be tested by 1840T is much more lesser than Type 1600T does, it can only test the frequency response curve and sensitivity of the receiver, but its test speed is faster.
